For our Colours of Africa event (which kicks off in just over 3 weeks!!!) we have involved loads of children - 6 schools in all: 3 in Essen, Belgium, and 3 in Witzenberg, South Africa. Some of the results are in and I started sewing these little bags yesterday. They are going to be for sale during the event and the proceeds will go to the schools in South Africa.
I am having "fun" doing the flour resist technique. Fun is very relative in this case as it is a hassle, takes long because it has to dry in between and getting the resist off in the final stage is terrible. However, I really like the results.
This one looks a bit dull here, but it nicer in actual full colour.
I like how this one looks a bit like an old map.
This weekend I have a stand at the Textile Festival in Leiden. I hope I have time to have a look around. On the other hand, if it's too busy it will be good news for Trapsuutjies. Next week it's full steam ahead - still lots of works to be done.

Laura dit geeft een heel mooi effect. Mooie stoffen heb je hierdoor gekregen.
